Lately it seems, my kitty sisters have taken over!

Molly hogs MY couch in the den!
Well, it's not really my couch,
but it's the only piece of furniture I'm allowed on!

Lilly has made herself at home in MY bed!
Well, maybe there's room for both of us!

Hi Bloggie Friends, Lucy here...

Well finally Mom is getting around to my blog, it's about time! As you can see I survived my visit to the groomer! I even got a new kerchief to add to my collection.

Next week my human brother is coming to visit, which means he'll be hogging the only chair I'm allowed to sit on; that's okay 'cause we always have fun while he's here. But with him in my chair and Molly and Lily taking over MY bed, where exactly am I suppose to sit?

Hi Bloggie Friends, Lucy here...

Well it's about time Mom finally got around to helping me with my blog, don't you think?! She has been sooo busy...in my doggie opinion...nobody is THAT busy! BOL! Anyway, here I am!

I have been enjoying all the snow we have been getting, in fact right now...this very moment...we are having a snow storm, and could get two feet or more! Climbing on the snow banks is so much fun, and I love to stick my snooter in all the white fluffy snow! If you look closely at my picture you can see my snow beard.

Earlier today, I found out that I am going to see the groomer later this week...the groomer? OH NO! Well I actually like the groomer, I just don't like what she does! Mom says I need to be 'spruced' up a bit. I'm not entirely sure what that means...but I guess I'll be finding out! Maybe ~~someone~~ Mom will even post pictures...but I won't hold my breath!

Hi Bloggie Friends, Lucy here...

When I was a puppy I discovered a rule in our house that doggies don't get fed at the table, no matter how cute they are! Well, apparently Dad never got that memo 'cause over time he has slipped me many tasty morsels and, according to Mom, has created a 'Mooch Pooch!' I have no idea what that is but I do know if Mom catches Dad in the act, she pulls a really funny, scrunched up face at him and mumbles something about him being a big pushover for puppy dogs.

Here I am ~~mooching~~ patiently waiting for a piece of Dad's popcorn...now, really what else is a doggie suppose to eat while watching TV?

Hi Bloggie Friends, Lucy here...

Did you know that I'm an Assistant? Well that's what Mom calls me! I assist her while she goes out to take pictures for her other blog, Barnyards and Barnacles. (Please note how she snuck that in? BOL!) Anyway, I really like being an Assistant, I get to go for lots of rides and see lots of cows, sheep, horses, goats...you name it! Sometimes I can't resist a quick WOOF!...just to let them know that I'm assisting. This does not make Mom happy, 'cause sometimes the animals run away, and then she has to park far away and leaves me in the car to assist all by myself!

Hurry back, Mom!!

Hi Bloggie Friends, Lucy here...

The other day, Mom surprised me with a trip to the groomer's! Usually she tells me but not this time! I thought I was just going for a ride and the next thing I knew...there I was, face to face with 'lady with the clippy thing'!

Mom says that this is probably my last trim for a while because by the time my fur grows out, the weather will be a lot cooler. I'm keeping my paws crossed that I don't have to go back for a long time!

After Mom finally picked me up, she wanted to take my picture, 'cause she said that I looked bee-U-ti-ful. She always says that! Anyway...just to let her know that I was still a little upset that she never mentioned the 'G' word before we got there, I didn't smile!

Sorry I haven't blogged lately, Mom was under the weather and unable to help me on the keyboard. She is feeling better now so maybe she'll get with the program...right Mom?

I hope you are all having a nice summer, it's been very hot here, in fact Dad let me borrow his hat to go out in the sunshine...a pair of shades might be cool too, don't you think?

Well here I am practically shaved to the bones! Okay, I'm exaggerating a bit! I really feel sooo much cooler without my lovely long fur, and it will grow back. When I came home from the groomer, Molly and Lily wasn't sure who I was...well they are only cats after all.

Hi Bloggie Friends, Lucy here...

Things have been a bit hectic in the Lucy household. I finally got Mom to help me with my blog before you all forgot me! There's been spring cleaning, and yard work, and the garden, and Mom's photography that she takes on the road this time of year to local fairs and events. Of course I help with most of these projects, well I can dig holes to plant flowers - hehe!

The last rainy weekend we had, we...that's Mom, Dad and I took a break and went for a nice ride. I ♥ riding in Dad's truck, 'cause I have a clear view for cow spotting and it gave me a chance to wear my nifty bandana the groomer gave me!

Sometimes before Mom makes the bed and while she's checking her email, I love to jump up for a quick snooze. Sometimes I even try out Dad's pillow...it's very comfy.

Usually I get down when I hear Mom coming down the hallway...today, she snuck up on me!

I'm feeling a little naked here without my collar but today was bath day. It's not one of my favorites but Mom says, "A clean doggie is a happy doggie." Whatever!

I guess it could be worse, at least the water was nice and warm and I got all wrapped up in a nice soft towel. But if the truth be known, the picture below shows my true feelings about the whole affair...sorry Mom!

Saturday morning brought lots of ice, my paws were crossed that maybe the trip to the groomer would be cancelled, then Mom slipped on the ice and fell, so for sure I wouldn't be going, right?...Wrong!

Well I survived the morning of being ~~traumatized~~ pampered and couldn't get home fast enough to chomp on my favorite bone!

Mom has added me to 'Face of the Week' over at Spacial Peepol, for other great faces, check it out!

Hi Bloggie Friends, Lucy here...

Yesterday I heard Mom on the phone, the groomer is back from her vacation...so you know what that means...yep...haircut time! After she got off the phone, Mom told me that I am going to the doggie spa on Saturday to get 'Beautified'. I'm not sure what I hate most, going to the groomer or being brushed everyday. Mom says I'm high maintenance, whatever that means!

I'll be sure to have Mom post some pictures after my day of ~~torture~~ grooming is done. Oh woe is me...the countdown has begun!
